Apple Cinnamon Quiche

Apples, cinnamon and sugar in pastry, topped with cheese and a whipped cream and egg mixture. Quiche is baked for half an hour and served warm.
Ingredients -
 

2 Apples, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons Butter
8 ounces grated Cheddar Cheese
1 unbaked 10-inch pastry shell
1 tablespoons Sugar
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
4 large Eggs
1 1/2 cups Whipping Cream

 
Preparation:
 

1. Preheat oven to 375 F.

2. In large sauté pan, melt butter and sauté apples for 5 minutes.

3. Season the apples with sugar and cinnamon.

4. Layer apples in pastry shell.

5. Sprinkle cheese over apples.

6. Whisk the eggs and whipping cream together in a medium mixing bowl.

7. Pour whipped cream mixture over cheese.

8. Bake 35 minutes or until quiche is set.

Apples
Some apples bake better than others. Its a good idea to choose an apple variety such as Golden Delicious or Granny Smith that hold up well to the heat.
