Banana Sour Cream Bread

Everybody loves banana bread. Sugar and cinnamon dusted baking pans, hold batter made from egg, ripe bananas, sour cream, cinnamon, vanilla, baking soda, flour, walnuts and salt. Loaves are baked until golden. Slice and serve with soft butter.

Ingredients -

1/4 cup White Sugar
1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

3/4 cup butter
3 cups White Sugar
3 Eggs
6 very Ripe Bananas, mashed
1 (16 ounces) container Sour cream
2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Salt
3 teaspoons Baking Soda
4 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 cup chopped Walnuts

 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 300 F.

2. Grease four small 7” x 3” bread pans.

3. Stir together sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.

4. Dust pans with sugar mixture.

5. In a large bowl, cream butter together with sugar.

6. Stir in eggs, bananas, sour cream, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt, baking soda, and flour.

7. Fold in walnuts.

8. Pour equal amounts into dusted bread pans.

9. Bake 1 hour.

Ripe Bananas
To ripen bananas faster, add bananas to a paper bag (so they can still get oxygen), close and roll up the bag and leave it on the counter. If you have an apple, add it in with the bananas.

Walnuts
