Bourbon Spice Pecans

 

Ingredients -

4 cups Pecans Halves
1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1/4 cup Bourbon
1 teaspoon Salt
1-1/2 cups Dark Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Butter

 
Preparation:

1. Turn the oven to 350 degrees and preheat.

2. Spread out the pecans onto a rimmed baking sheet and bake until fragrant, this takes about 10 minutes.

3. Transfer the pecans to a bowl and set to the side.

4. Add the butter to a skillet and melt over medium-high heat.

5. Add the toasted pecans and stir well to coat with the butter.

6. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon and salt and cook, stirring for 10 minutes.

7. Add the bourbon and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

8. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.

9. Remove the skillet from the heat and pour the pecans back onto the baking sheet.

10. Spread the pecans out and allow to cool for 25 to 30 minutes.

11. Break the mixture up into crumbles and allow to cool completely.
